I am a senior at Columbia College studying medical humanities. I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and I am Sierra-Leonean. I'm a plant mom, vinyl collector, and avid lover of sweet treats. I also enjoy reading, concerts, crocheting, and getting thai with friends. I hope to become an OB/GYN, but I'm also interested in infectious disease and immunology. During my presidency, I am excited to continue fostering an inclusive, supportive community at Charles Drew.
From Baltimore, Maryland, I am a senior in Columbia College studying Neuroscience and Behavior. Along with a passion for medicine, I'm an avid sports fan and a member of Columbia's Mens Rugby Club. I am interested in pursuing a career in orthopedics and sports medicine. My favorite thing about CD is the sense of community we foster which I believe is invaluable in strengthening our resolve as we pursue our various paths in medicine. Outside of school, I enjoy watching movies and playing chess.
I am a junior in Columbia College studying Neuroscience with a concentration in African American and Diaspora Studies. I'm from the Philadelphia area. In addition to my healthcare interests, I enjoy dancing, singing, and writing poetry. I love to explore NYC's artistic scene through museums, concerts, and Broadway! I'm also a big foodie:) My career interests lie in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
Mar is a first-generation college student and a Questbridge Scholar. Mar is on the premed track and plans to major in Neuroscience & Behavior. Mar works at the El-Shamayleh laboratory at Columbia's Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute researching primate opotgentics in area V4 of the visual cortex. She is also a certified beekeeper through the Alabama Beekeeper's Association. In her free time, Mar is training for an upcoming triathlon.
Hi! I'm currently a junior studying Neuroscience & Behavior. I am from from Virginia, but have also lived in California for some time. I really enjoy crocheting, photography, and I am trying to get back into reading during my free time! I am interested in obstetrics and gynecology because I believe that women, especially women of color, are often underserved when seeking medical care, and I want to work towards improving the quality of care they experience.
I'm a Biochem major at College College Class of 2024. I'm from NJ just across the river, but originally born in Barbados. I feel drawn to pediatrics, but currently am exploring cardiology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology subspecialties. In my free time, I enjoy volleyball and jiu-jitsu and simply eating out with friends. Throughout my time at Charles Drew, I've really enjoyed drawing people in and fueling dialogue within in our group.
I’m a junior majoring in Biology at CC. I live in Maryland with my parents, brother and sister. I spend my free time drawing, spending time with friends, and watching new movies! I am particularly interested in pursuing a pediatric subspecialty or OB/GYN. I’m grateful for Charles drew because the club allowed a younger me to meet many successful premeds of color, and seeing gave me the confidence to continue to pursue my dream of being a doctor.
I am a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior with a minor in Spanish and Latin American Cultures. Currently, I am working towards a career in medicine and hope to make healthcare more accessible by bridging language barriers. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar and baking. Charles Drew Premedical Society has allowed me to constructively share my experience as a pre-med Latinx student on campus as Latinx Liaison.
I am a Neuroscience & Behavior and Sociology double major at Barnard. I was born and raised in the Bronx, NYC but my family is from Gambia, West Africa. When I'm not in class or working. I spend a lot of my time reading novels and hanging out with friends and family. My areas of interest in medicine are cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and pediatric surgery. My favorite thing about Charles Drew is how welcoming and supportive our community is!
Hi I’m Mariono Martin! I’m currently a 2nd year in Columbia College planning to declare as a biochemistry major. My role in Charles Drew is geared around facilitating events specific for underclassman as well as establishing mentorship relationships for our underclassmen members. Outside of Charles Drew, I’m a member of the Columbia Jazz Ensemble, enjoy weight lifting and fitness, and enjoy working in a variety of research projects.
I am a sophomore at Columbia College studying Neuroscience and Behavior in the pre-med track. I am super excited to be part of e-board and more close to the Charles Drew Family! I love to knit, play legos, and solve puzzles in my free time as well as walking along Riverside Park. Fun fact I live 20 minutes away in New Jersey but went to boarding school on scholarship in Massachusetts for high school! We try to make the club as comfortable as possible, everyone's voice deserves to be heard.
Hello, I am a second-year majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior with a minor in Science and Public Policy and I am from New York City! I enjoy reading, listening to music, and taking walks. My interests in speciality is general surgery and pulmonology. Some of my favorite parts about the Charles Drew community is that it offers so many resources and guidance and as an undergraduate this has been a helpful resource studying and working in the medical field.
I'm a double major in Biology and Ethnicity & Race studies. I was born and raised in Chicago, but my family is from Mexico originally. Aside from school, I like to spend my time listening to live music, writing poetry, and exercising. My medical interests include orthopedic surgery and molecular research.
I am a Biology major and Business Management Concentration at Columbia College. I am from NYC and my family is from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. I spend my free time with my friends and family, playing basketball/baseball, working out, listening to music, and traveling to new places. My areas of interest are Neurosurgery, Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery, Orthopedics/Sports Medicine, and Otolaryngology.
